Attack on Iran. The Polish travel agency suspends flights from Oman


The decision is related to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East after Saturday's airstrikes on Iran by the US and Israel and the retaliation by Iranian forces. Many countries in the region have closed their airspace.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced that there is a high risk to civil aviation in the region – both in Iranian airspace and in neighboring countries where US bases are located. The agency advised EU carriers to suspend flights to and from the Middle East until March 6.
These recommendations do not include carriers from outside the European Union.

LOT Polish Airlines has canceled flights to Dubai until March 6 and to Riyadh until March 8. Calls to Tel Aviv remain suspended until March 18 inclusive.

Flights in the region were canceled by, among others: the British airline Virgin Atlantic, Air Arabia, Norwegian Air Shuttle (to and from Dubai), Air France (to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut), the Dutch KLM (on the Amsterdam – Tel Aviv line), Wizz Air (connections with Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman; until March 7), Lufthansa (connections with Tel Aviv, Beirut, Oman; until March 7). March), Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines (connections with Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Oman), Bulgaria Air (connections with Tel Aviv until March 2) and Air India to all Middle Eastern countries.
