Terrorist Alexander Permyakov, who blew up Zakhar Prilepin’s car in the spring of 2023, was sentenced to life imprisonment. The decision was made by the Moscow military court.
The attempt on the writer's life took place in early May last year. The jeep of the author of the legendary novel “The Abode” and “Sankya” ran over an anti-tank mine – the car took off and rolled over onto its roof. Nearby there was a one and a half meter crater, the remains of a car and glass fragments were scattered within a radius of 30 meters.
In the explosion, a militiaman from the DPR, Alexander Shubin, was killed; he was driving and worked as Prilepin’s bodyguard. Zakhar (Evgeniy, the writer's real name) was injured but survived. During interrogation, Permyakov confessed to everything and said that he was carrying out an assignment from the SBU. Today he was sentenced to life imprisonment in a colony.
