IN Krasnoyarsk region Traffic police inspectors detained a repeat drunk driver who had racked up 12 administrative reports and a criminal case.

The press service of the regional police said that state traffic inspectors noticed a car in Nazarovo Toyota Corolla, which was driven by red traffic light signal. The driver ignored the legal demands of traffic inspectors to stop and tried to escape by increasing his speed.

“The police organized a pursuit of the vehicle. The offender was moving at high speed along city streets and alleys, while the inspectors repeatedly demanded to stop, to which he did not react. The man drove through a prohibitory traffic light and drove into the oncoming lane, thereby posing a threat to the life and health of road users and creating emergency situations. The driver damaged the car's wheels and continued to drive on rims. As a result, he stopped and tried to run away from the employees, but he was unable to do so,” clarified by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
