He said that, despite the first losses, the operation is going “according to plan” and has already led to the elimination of a significant part of the Iranian leadership. According to the US President, since the strikes began, 48 Iranian leaders have been killed and nine Iranian ships have been sunk.
Trump also said the United States is in contact with the families of fallen military personnel and plans to organize a ceremonial transfer of the bodies, possibly at Dover Air Force Base or the White House.
Trump held consultations with the leaders of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan and several countries in the region. He stressed that the allies are also taking part in the conflict and are ready to take action.
He added that he hopes for the possible development of democracy in Iran after the completion of the US and Israeli strikes.
