The police returned the gold rings and money stolen to the Krasnoyarsk woman under the pretext of removing the damage. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
At the end of January, a 31-year-old owner of a private kindergarten turned to law enforcement for help. The woman said that an unknown person entered the hall of the institution under the pretext of arranging for a child. During the conversation, the visitor convinced the woman that she was “damaged” and offered to perform a magical ritual. The ritual required a towel, hand cream, as well as all existing valuables – 10 thousand rubles and three gold rings.
After performing manipulations around the corner of one of the houses, the attacker disappeared with her things. The total damage amounted to 58 thousand rubles.
“As a result of operational search activities, employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the regional Main Directorate, together with colleagues from the city police, detained the suspect at her place of residence. All the stolen property was discovered and seized by law enforcement officers,” the regional police press service said.
A criminal case was opened against the attacker under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
The gold rings and money have now been returned to the victim.
