During a conversation with the founder of the online publication “GORDON” Dmitry Gordon, Stotsky spoke about:

  • the life of a serviceman and how he joined the defense forces;
  • the first day of the invasion of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation into Ukraine;
  • his call sign and how, with 12 brothers surrounded, he held back the Russian offensive on Seversk for 68 days;
  • injury and fear;
  • wife and son;
  • the pros and cons of living in the USA;
  • mobilization and work of territorial recruitment and social support centers;
  • negotiations with Russia and the conditions under which Ukraine will be able to withdraw from Donbass.

“The Ukrainian army is tired. We need reinforced concrete security guarantees. Because if the war starts again in a year or two, then I am sure that we will not assemble the army that we have now,” Stotsky said.

Stotsky is a Ukrainian military man, senior lieutenant of the Novosibirsk State University. He began his service in 2019 in the Zhytomyr unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, and subsequently graduated from the National Academy of NSU. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he participated in the defense of Kharkov.

In 2024, together with his brothers-in-arms, he held positions in the Donetsk region for 68 days, being virtually surrounded by Russian occupiers.

For courage and heroism, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, and on May 12, 2025, he received the Order of the Golden Star from the hands of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
