The United States will strike Iran “with unprecedented force,” US President Donald Trump threatened on Sunday if the Middle Eastern country retaliates against US attacks.
“Iran has just declared that it will hit very hard today, harder than it has ever been hit,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social network.
“They'd better not do that, but if they do, we're going to hit them harder than we've ever seen before,” Trump said.
Ali Khamenei, Iran's supreme leader since 1989, was killed Saturday in a US-Israeli attack on Iran. The announcement of his death was made by Donald Trump. A few hours after this announcement, the Iranian state media confirmed the death of the supreme leader. His daughter, grandson, daughter-in-law and son-in-law were also killed in the attacks.
On Sunday, Iran launched a new wave of attacks on Israel and US bases in the region after announcing in the morning that it was carrying out “the most ferocious offensive operation in the history of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
Sirens began to sound in the morning in Israel and in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Doha, as well as in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, loud explosions were heard again.
