The FRU called on the NCRECP not to increase the maximum prices for electricity without analyzing the consequences for the industry, – mass media.
The Federation of Employers of Ukraine appealed to the NKREKP, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Energy with a request not to increase the price caps for electricity without assessing the risks for business.
On July 25, the planned promotion:
• up to UAH 15,000/MWh – in the evening
• up to UAH 16,000/MWh – on the balancing market
• daily maximum – UAH 6,900/MWh
The FRU warns: such a decision will lead to an increase in the cost of production, a loss of competitiveness, a reduction in production, a drop in foreign exchange earnings, a decrease in tax revenues and mass layoffs.
FRU represents about 8,000 enterprises, which form 70% of the country's GDP and more than 3 million jobs.
The Federation proposes to first launch auctions for access to electricity imports and create conditions for market pricing.
