Wave of alerts in Tulcea: Russian drones detected at the border. The population, advised to take shelter

The people in Tulcea county, the border area with Ukraine, received, on Friday morning, around 7:15, a RO-ALERT message, against the background of the war started by Russia in Ukraine.

In the extreme alert message, the people of Tulcea are informed that there is a possibility of objects falling from the airspace, and the authorities recommend them to keep calm and take shelter in cellars or civil protection shelters.
“In the absence of shelter, stay inside the house, away from windows and exterior walls. Estimated duration of the alert: 90 minutes”, is specified in the RO-ALERT message.
For its part, the Ministry of National Defense announces that, during the morning of February 27, the MApN's radar systems detected, at 06:57, a drone in Ukrainian airspace, moving towards the north of Tulcea county.
“The air defense systems were put on alert, and at 07.17 a warning message was issued to the population through the RO-ALERT system, for the targeted area. The aircraft did not enter the national airspace, and at 07.47 the alert was ordered to end
The Ministry of National Defense constantly monitors the airspace, in close cooperation with NATO allies, to ensure the safety and territorial integrity of Romania”MApN transmitted.
After on Wednesday evening, at around 18:15, the people of Tulcea in the border area with Ukraine received a RO-ALERT message informing them about the risk of objects falling from the airspace, on Thursday, the authorities sent two other messages. On both days, the Ministry of National Defense confirmed that Russian drones violated Romania's airspace.
