Former Romanian international, unexpected training with a League 2 team

Bogdan Vătăjelu (32 years old), former Romanian international and Craiova University player, trained with FC Bihor, a team from the second echelon of Romanian football.

According to the local media, the left defender is in discussions with a team from abroad, and if things do not come to fruition, there are chances that he will sign with the team from Bihor.

Out of contract in January 2026 after parting ways with FK Aktobe, a team from Kazakhstan, Bogdan Vătăjelu is looking for a new team.

He had discussions with Dinamo, but things did not materialize. Meanwhile, the left back is training with FC Bihor, a team qualified for the second league play-off. Craiova University is the team where Bogdan Vătăjelu stood out, even becoming captain. In the shirt of Olten, he played 236 matches, during which he scored 13 goals and provided 16 decisive assists. In Romania, he also performed for Cluj University.
