The BIPA drugstore chain, which is part of the Rewe group, which also owns the Penny discount supermarket chain, continues its development on the Romanian market.
After the store inaugurated in Bucharest, BIPA opened on Thursday the second location in Chiajna, a commune close to the Capital, at Chiajna Shopping Center.
The Austrians from BIPA, a brand founded in Vienna in 1980, which later joined the German REWE Group, said that the new location covers an area of approximately 305 square meters, is served by a team of 8 employees and will have a daily operating schedule, from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 – 21:00, and Sunday between 09:00 – 19:00.

The first store was inaugurated a month ago in the Mega Mall in Bucharest, on level -1 and has an area of approximately 370 square meters.
According to the company, the BIPA drug store chain has more than 12,000 products in the categories of beauty, personal care, health and home products. The offer is completed by international make-up brands, as well as a wide selection of own-brand products.
The opening of the store in Chiajna is part of the company's development strategy on the local market.
The brand plans to open 20-25 stores annually, so that Romania becomes the third market in the brand's international expansion strategy, after Austria and Croatia. Soon, the brand will inaugurate another store in the country, in Sfântul Gheorghe.
BIPA entered the Romanian market at a time when the Germans from dm, a similar network active on our market since 2007, has over 165 stores open in the country.
