In the case of withdrawals made via BLIK, the situation is more complex. Planet Cash reported that limOne-time withdrawal rates will depend on the location of the ATM and the economic conditions of a given region. This is a reaction to Polski Standard Płatności, the BLIK operator, maintaining the current remuneration rates for ATM owners.
At the same time, it was assured that customers of banks cooperating with Planet Cash will not experience any changes. In their case, the current withdrawal limits will apply.
The operator explains that the decision results from the increasing costs of cash handling, logistics, technical service and other expenses related to maintaining the ATM infrastructure. The announcement also indicated “lack of economic sustainability of the service of withdrawals made using BLIK codes“.
Not only Planet Cash. Euronet is also changing limits
Recall that similar changes were recently introduced by Euronet. From February 19, BLIK users can withdraw a maximum of PLN 200 at a time from its ATMs, whereas previously the limit was PLN 800.
Euronet argued that cooperation with BLIK in its current form had become unprofitable.
