Denmark is in talks to host the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyfall on its territory, which will thus become the second Ukrainian arms manufacturer to manufacture military equipment in the Nordic country, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday, reports AFP, quoted by Agerpres. .

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen discussed this possibility with his Ukrainian counterpart on Tuesday, and negotiations with the group will begin, the minister said in a statement.

“The attraction of strong Ukrainian companies in the field of defense to Denmark, in collaboration with Danish industry, will strengthen the security of both Denmark and Ukraine”, emphasized the minister, quoted in the press release.

The Ukrainian group Fire Point is the first to establish its presence in Denmark, where it started in December in Vojens (west) the construction of a factory for the production of propellant, a propulsion product for missiles and drones. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.

“If Skyfall establishes a presence in Denmark, the company will be encouraged to enter into a partnership with one or more relevant Danish companies,” continued the minister.

In addition to possible contract negotiations, “a thorough analysis of the company's situation will have to be carried out, especially in terms of corruption, ownership structure and money laundering,” he added.

Denmark, like the other Nordic countries, is one of the biggest military and civilian supporters of Ukraine.
