The journalist ironized by Daniel Funeriu: “Leave my emphasis. Romania risks losing a lot in Ukraine with a presidency George Simion”

Alison Mutler, a British journalist from Universul.net, wrote in an editorial, on Wednesday, that he does not want the moment with Daniel Funeriu, the candidate who seemed to ironize his emphasis during the second presidential debate, to deviate from the question he had asked to George Simion, the leader of Gold,

The moment took place on the second presidential debate on Tuesday evening, on TVR, when Alison Mutler asked George Simion, absent from the event, how the Romanian companies will support in the reconstruction of Ukraine, if he becomes president of Romania, since he has a ban on the neighboring state.

“Alison, George is not here, so I can answer in his place,” said Daniel Funeriu, who seemed to ironize his accent.

The journalist commented on the situation, on Wednesday, in an editorial on Universul.net.

“Besides the fact that I speak, I understand and write in the Romanian language (not at the native level), the thing that gives me empty is my emphasis. I will never sound Romanian (…). Unfortunately, absent, the favorite at the Presidency, George Simion, was diverted in a discussion about another candidate, Daniel Funeriu, who imitated my emphasis, ”wrote Alison Mutler.

The journalist said that Daniel Funeriu wrote and denied that he was ironized.

“People will interpret the incident as they want. I was overwhelmed by the support, heat and indignation expressed publicly and privately. Romanians, you really moved me!” Says Alison Mutler.

“I wonder how many millions – even billions – risks losing Romania”

Alison Mutler highlighted the importance of the question he had addressed during the presidential debate, stressing that “Romania could and has the right to win billions of Ukraine's reconstruction when it will take place”, since our country has given multidimensional support for the neighboring state in the context of the war.

“But I have no idea why the income that the Romanian companies and entrepreneurs from Ukraine can get are not the subject of a public debate. I also wonder how many millions-even billions-risks losing a president, George Simion, to whom he is forbidden to enter Ukraine. Continued Alison Mutler.

What had asked George Simion

During the debate on Tuesday night from TVR, the journalist at Universul.net had asked the golden candidate, the following question:

“After the war in Ukraine will end, this country will enter the reconstruction. The states that have supported Ukraine in times of war, including Romania, will benefit from the large reconstruction contracts, which are worth billions of euros. Mr. Simion, if you will be elected president, you should support the Romanian companies, you can support this money, Input prohibition in Ukraine? How will you overcome this handicap? ”.

The one who answered the journalist was the independent candidate Daniel Funeriu, imitating the British accent of the journalist: “Alison, George Simion is not here, so I can answer in his place.”
