A common arms front. Denmark encourages the Ukrainian Skyfall to build a drone factory there

The Danish government announced on Tuesday that it is in talks with the Ukrainian arms company Skyfall about starting production on Danish territory. A company from Ukraine specializes in the construction of drones.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized that bringing Ukrainian arms companies and their cooperation with Danish industry will strengthen the security of both countries.

Skyfall currently produces approx. 5 thousand. Vampire drones per month and needs safe locations to develop. In turn, the Danish army needs modern and battlefield-proven unmanned aerial vehicles.

Last December in Vojens in the south of Jutland, the construction of the first plant of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, where rocket fuel will be produced, began. To make this possible, the Danish Parliament liberalized the regulations regarding environmental requirements and administrative approvals for this type of strategic facilities.

Poulsen recalled that Denmark has been one of Ukraine's largest partners since the beginning of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia. First, cooperation included donations of defense equipment, including F-16 aircraft, training of Ukrainian soldiers, and investments in the Ukrainian arms industry as part of the so-called Danish model. The program involves ordering and paying for weapons for the Ukrainian army directly from plants in Ukraine.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, together with the leaders of other countries, visited Kiev on Tuesday to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine. (PAP)
