The completion date of the children's hospital in Krasnoyarsk Pokrovka has been pushed back to 2029

The commissioning of a multidisciplinary children's hospital in Krasnoyarsk “Medgorodok” in the Pokrovka microdistrict has been postponed to 2029. This was reported by the deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly from the LDPR, Alexei Boykov, with reference to the regional Ministry of Health.

Construction of the facility on Karaulnaya Street began in 2023. It was originally planned that the first buildings would be launched by the end of 2027, and the hospital would be fully operational in 2028. Now the deadlines have shifted by at least a year.

In addition, the project underwent “optimization”: the number of beds was reduced from 640 to 530. The Ministry of Health explained this by adjusting the medical and technical specifications, the need to eliminate unnecessary space and take into account licensing requirements. It was also decided to merge the hospital with the perinatal center – according to the department, this will increase operational efficiency.

Currently, the construction readiness of the facility is just over 20%. This figure has not changed since September last year – construction is actually frozen due to litigation between the contractor and the Capital Construction Administration. Initially, the construction contract was signed with the Sibiryak company, but after mutual lawsuits, the work stopped. Now the design and estimate documentation needs to be adjusted, but a contractor for this work has not yet been found.

The hospital is being built as part of a national project; about 16 billion rubles have been allocated for it from the federal and regional budgets. The design capacity of the hospital was to be 640 beds, with conditions for the joint stay of children and parents, as well as an outpatient department.
