China raises duties on goods from the United States to 125%

The counterclaims of China on the import of American goods will be valid from April 12.

The department emphasized that the United States unreasonably introduced “abnormally high duties” for China, which contradicts the rules of international trade, basic economic laws and “common sense”.

“This is a completely one -way practice of bullying and coercion. China resolutely condemns this,” the release says.

The ministry noted that the United States neglected the global economic order that they created after the Second World War, and promised to ignore the further “tariff games” of the United States, if any.

“Even if the United States will continue to introduce higher tariffs, it will no longer be an economic meaning and will become a joke in the history of the global economy. At the current level of tariffs, there is no way to accept the market for goods from the United States exporting to China. If the United States will continue to play tariff numbers, China ignores this. However, if the United States insists on the continuation of China’s interests, China will determine it strongly contrasting and fighting until the end”, – summed up in the PRC.
