A businessman from Krasnoyarsk illegally appropriated a plot of land and fell under criminal charges.

In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case was opened against a businessman for land fraud. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.

In 2015, a resident of the regional center purchased a plot of land with an area of ​​12 thousand square meters. m together with a production workshop in the area of ​​the former tire factory. But in 2025, the entrepreneur decided that this was not enough. He came up with a plan to get more land – this time from a plot that was in undemarcated state ownership.

In order to implement his plan, the man turned to a cadastral engineer and asked a specialist to prepare a boundary plan. To substantiate his claims, the businessman indicated that a piece of real estate allegedly owned by him is located on municipal land, which is auxiliary to the main workshop.

The cadastral engineer sent the documents to the registration authority, and on their basis the applicant registered ownership of another 1.2 thousand square meters. m.

“The prosecutor’s office conducted an inspection and found out that in fact there were no real estate objects on this site – neither auxiliary nor main ones. The documents submitted to Rosreestr contained false information. And as a result of these manipulations, the state suffered damage amounting to more than 3 million rubles,” said the press service of the supervisory agency.

The prosecutor sent the inspection materials to the investigative body, which opened a criminal case for fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In addition, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit to recognize the citizen's ownership of the illegally registered plot as non-existent.

The investigation and elimination of violations is under the control of the department.
