The Russian Ministry of Health has expanded the list of official medical specialties. The updated nomenclature includes 15 new profiles, reports Om1 Novosibirsk.

The list includes analytical toxicology, kinesiorehabilitation, medical biology, medical massage, medical zoology, medical speech therapy, medical psychology, medical physics, medical embryology, neuropsychology, nutritional science, dentistry, forensic examination and ergorehabilitation.
A year later, from September 1, 2027, another area will be added to the list – palliative medical care. Bacteriology, virology and parasitology will remain valid until autumn 2028.
For those with secondary medical or pharmaceutical education, the nomenclature has also been supplemented. Medical microbiology, nutrition and dentistry will appear there. The changes will take effect from September 1, 2026.
