In the register of declarations, Smelyansky indicatedthat his wife is US citizen Natalie Myshkina. Smelyansky’s last public declaration was published in March 2018.

Context
Igor Smelyansky was born in 1975 in Belgorod-Dnestrovskrom, Odessa region. He has been heading Ukrposhta for almost 10 years. Smelyansky has American citizenship. In his marriage to Myshkina, he had two sons.
In May 2025, Smelyansky reported that his salary as general director of Ukrposhti in 2024 was for the year 11.72 million UAH before tax. On February 21, 2026, in an interview with Channel 5, he stated that he is not ashamed to receive such a salary.
The head of Ukrposhti lives in Kyiv in a rented apartment and walks to work. Lately, Smelyansky has found himself at the epicenter of scandals.
