
Ukrainian culinary blogger Alex Mil shared a recipe for a delicious Snickers cake on Instagram on February 19.
Biscuit ingredients:
- 160 g flour;
- five eggs;
- 100 ml milk;
- 70 ml vegetable oil;
- 200 g sugar;
- 30 g cocoa;
- 10 g baking powder;
- a pinch of salt.
Ingredients for cream:
- 400 g mascarpone cheese;
- 35 g vanilla sugar;
- 150 ml heavy cream.
Ingredients for caramel:
- 150 g sugar;
- 50 ml water;
- 150 g heavy cream;
- a pinch of salt;
- 150 g roasted peanuts.
Ingredients for decoration:
- 170 g chocolate;
- vegetable oil;
- chopped nuts.
Preparation
- Add sugar and a pinch of salt to the eggs, beat with a mixer into a fluffy white foam for about five to eight minutes. Add milk, vegetable oil and continue beating for half a minute. Sift flour with baking powder and cocoa into the mixture. Beat at low speed until smooth – do not beat for too long, otherwise the biscuit will not rise.
- Pour the mixture into a ring mold with a diameter of 18 cm. Place in an oven preheated to 180 °C for 50 minutes. Check readiness with a skewer – it should be dry if you pierce the biscuit in the center. Cut the finished chilled sponge cake into three equal pieces.
- Pour sugar and water into a thick-bottomed pan and cook over low heat. Do not stir the sugar under any circumstances. At the same time, in another saucepan, heat the cream to a boil.
- As soon as the sugar begins to bronze, remove from heat, pour in hot cream and stir. Then add oil and stir.
- For the cream, place cold mascarpone cheese, sugar, and heavy cold cream in a plate. Beat everything into a homogeneous creamy mass for a minute.
- Place the biscuit in a ring and spread with half the cream, making small sides out of the edges, pour half of the caramel inside, put the nuts and cover with the biscuit. So make two layers and let it sit in the refrigerator.
- Melt chocolate with vegetable oil in the microwave. Add chopped nuts to the mixture and cover the top and sides of the cake with the mixture.
