Poland's support for Ukraine's membership in the European Union was the main topic of the conversation between the Speaker of the Sejm, Vladimir Czarzasty, and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in Kiev on Monday. Ukraine's accession to the EU is an opportunity for Polish entrepreneurs, said Czarzasty.

The Marshal said that apart from Zelensky, the meeting was attended by, among others, head of the president's office Kyrylo Budanov. He emphasized that it was a “good, very serious meeting.”
The conversation concerned primarily Ukraine's accession to the EU. Czarzasty mentioned Poland's initiatives for Ukraine and declared that the country can count on further support, including: regarding changes in legislation and assistance in obtaining EU funds.
– This is also an opportunity for Polish business. I also talked about this with President Zelensky. Poland is currently a hub, through which 90 percent weapons are transferred from Western countries to Ukraine. My dream is that it will also be such a strong hub for transferring entrepreneurship, technology and doing business, he said.
As part of his two-day visit to Ukraine, which started on Monday, Czarzasty previously talked to, among others, with the chairman of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament), Ruslan Stefanchuk. On Tuesday, on the 4th anniversary of the start of full-scale Russian aggression, the Marshal will appear in the Council. (PAP)
