PSD Mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma, defends PNL Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, in the face of attacks from social democratic leaders.

After former prime minister Marcel Ciolacu criticized Bolojan in several posts, the former received a reply from his own party.

“My opinion is that he is wrong. I would ask Marcel Ciolacu this: did you or did you not run a 9.3% deficit? This is the reality, 30 billion euros, the money was thrown to the dogs. Then let's stay calm, let's stop creating this tension, because the biggest danger for this country at the moment is political instability”, declared Constantin Toma, on RFI Romania.

Toma also has a message for the current PSD president, Sorin Grindeanu, Ciolacu's former deputy.

“So if we don't calm down and Mr. Grindeanu and Mr. Ciolacu and those who keep sticking the stick through the fence like this, we're going to have problems. Let's stay calm, let's stop attacking Ilie Bolojan so much, for now he's doing his job and already has the first good results and it's good for everyone, for this country.”

Toma, a constant critic of the actions of the PSD leadership lately, believes that the social democrats are losing votes in favor of the AUR.

“PSD, through this attitude, continues to lose many adherents, who probably go to AUR, people are not stupid. The fact that you play like this and, as I say, as they say in our country here, with your ass in two holes, people notice this thing and I don't think this attitude of being everywhere and nowhere helps us, and in fact the country is not progressing, the country is going down, especially with PSD”.

After losing the presidential elections, failing to reach the second round, Marcel Ciolacu ran for and won the presidency of the Buzău County Council.
