Muslim nations must act in Unison and mobilize the international opposition against the Plan of Israel to take control of Gaza, Hakan Fidan said on Saturday after discussions in Egypt, Reuters reports.
The regional powers of Egypt and Turkey condemned the plan on Friday. Ankara claims that it marks a new phase in what has described as the genocide and expansion policies of Israel, while requesting global measures to stop the implementation of the plan.
Israel rejects such a description for his actions in Gaza.
Speaking in a common press conference at El Alamein along with his Egyptian counterpart, after meeting with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs announced that the Islamic Cooperation Organization has been convened for an emergency meeting.
Fidan argues that Israel's policy is meant to force Palestinians, through hunger, to leave their territory, as well as that it aims to permanently invade Gaza. In the opinion of the Turkish official, there is no excuse by which other nations justify the continuation of support for Israel.
Israel deny that he would take a star -starry policy in Gaza and say that the Palestinian militant group Hamas can put an end to the war by capitulation.
“What happens today is a very dangerous evolution … not only for the Palestinian people or neighboring countries,” said the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, adding that Israel's plans are “inadmissible.”
The head of Egyptian diplomacy said that there is full coordination with Turkey regarding the Gaza strip and referred to a statement issued on Saturday by the Ministerial Committee of OCI, which condemns the Plan of Israel.
The OIC committee said that the Israel's plan marked “a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a flagrant violation of international law and an attempt to strengthen the illegal occupation”, warning that it would “destroy any opportunity of peace.”
Mediation teams in Egypt, Qatar and the United States have been working for months to reach an armistice between Israel and Hamas.
