Flamingo missiles in action. Ukraine destroys factories from which Russia obtains missiles and fuel

On the night from Friday to Saturday, Ukrainian missile forces and artillery struck a weapons plant in Votkinsk, Russia, with FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, where a fire broke out, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Saturday.

“On the night of February 20-21, units of the Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out an attack using FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles. The defense industry enterprise Votkinsk Plant in the city of Votkinsk (in the Republic of Udmurtia in Russia) was hit. A fire was reported at the facility. The consequences are being assessed,” the Telegram messenger reported.

According to the General Staff, the “Votkinsky Plant” is responsible, among others, for: for the production of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) RS-24 “Jars”, “Jars-S”, “Jars-M”, R-30 “Bulava” ballistic missiles for the Project 955A “Borey-A” submarines, as well as ballistic missiles of the 9M723-1 type for the “Iskander-M” operational-tactical system and 9-S-7760 for the aviation missile system “Kindjal”.

According to preliminary data, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Neftegorsk Gas Processing Plant in the Samara Oblast in Russia, used to meet the needs of the Russian army. A fire was reported at the plant. The scale of the damage is being determined.

In the Russian-occupied territory of the Donetsk Oblast, an enemy fuel and lubricant storage facility and an unmanned aerial vehicle production and servicing workshop were also hit.

In the town of Połohy in the occupied part of the Zaporizhia Oblast, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a warehouse of material and technical resources of the Russian troops.

The enemy's losses and the final scale of the damage caused are currently being determined, added the General Staff of Ukraine. (PAP)
