The regional committee bureau made a decision: “Accept the proposal of the publishing house “Der Emes” to publish a collection about the Jewish Autonomous Region, eight printed sheets in size, “Ten Years of the Jewish Autonomous Region” (0+) in Hebrew.”

To publish the collection on time, it was necessary to prepare and submit all materials for printing by April 1, 1944. Attached to the party decision was a plan for the collection with the names and volumes of articles. The authors were party, Soviet and scientific workers, journalists, writers, poets, etc.

The meeting of the regional party activists approved and accepted for steady guidance and implementation the Resolution of the January (1955) Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee “On increasing the production of livestock products” and determined the tasks of the regional party organization for its implementation.

The plenum of the regional committee of the CPSU discussed the issue “On the tasks of the regional party organization to further enhance the role of management and engineering workers in the ideological and political education of members of labor collectives.” The resolution noted that more than half of the leaders and specialists of the regional economy are propagandists, lecturers, speakers, political informants, agitators, participate in the work of trade unions, Komsomol and other public organizations, explain to workers the decisions and materials of the 24th Party Congress. The resolution outlines measures to ensure the active participation of all leading officials and specialists in the national economy in the communist education of the working people.

The Secretariat of the Regional Committee of the CPSU reviewed the progress in implementing the resolution of the Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU and the Regional Executive Committee “On measures to further improve the level of physical education and mass sports work in the region.” It was noted that there are 207 physical education groups in the region, which employ 59 thousand people.

In 1978, about 19 thousand people fulfilled the standards of the GTO complex. Competitions dedicated to the VII Summer Spartakiad of the Peoples of the RSFSR were held in 168 physical education groups. Over 38 thousand people took part in them.

The Secretariat approved a plan of additional activities for the further development of physical culture and sports in the region for 1979-1980.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) for February 23, 1974, in the article “Peers of the Five-Year Plan” wrote that on February 22, 1974, the teams of Nikolai Buryndin and Abram Rechin, the power transformer plant, celebrated an important event: they assembled the ten-thousandth transformer.

A solemn meeting of representatives of the city’s workers and soldiers of the Birobidzhan garrison, dedicated to the 54th anniversary of the Soviet Army and Navy, was held at the Birobidzhan Palace of Culture.

Officer Yu.F. made a report on the Day of the Soviet Army and Navy. Anisimov.

Secretary of the regional party committee Yu.G. Kassovich presented the challenge Red Banner of the regional committee of the CPSU and the regional executive committee to the city of Birobidzhan, which won the championship in preparing young people for service in the Soviet Army.

A solemn meeting of representatives of workers and soldiers of the Birobidzhan garrison, dedicated to the Day of the Soviet Army and Navy, was held at the Birobidzhan Palace of Culture.

The Legislative Assembly of the Jewish Autonomous Region decided to close the Chamber Jewish Musical Theater (KEMT) in Birobidzhan “… due to the lack of funds in the regional budget.
