Yulia Tymoshenko: Maidan is a symbol of freedom, and sovereignty is not a calculation for…

The leader of “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized that she was with the people on all the Maidans – side by side – and always supported their right to defend the future of the country and rule their own state.
“Maidan is a symbol of our freedom. This is proof that Ukraine will never swallow any authoritarianism. People are coming out against corruption, against injustice, against any attempts to limit our dignity and rights,” Tymoshenko stressed.
She also reminded of her consistent position regarding the mandatory accession of Ukraine to the EU. While still in the position of prime minister, she was the first to sign an application for joining NATO.
At the same time, Yulia Tymoshenko noted that international partners and friends have no right to demand that Ukraine pay for their support by losing sovereignty. “We have already paid a high price for this – we gave up nuclear weapons and signed the Budapest Memorandum, which, unfortunately, was not respected,” she said.
The leader of Batkivshchyna also clearly stated her strong opposition to the current government and President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“We do not support a political course that leads to the loss of state interests. Today, hundreds of laws deprive the Ukrainian people of power, resources, land and natural resources. Our opposition is not about destabilizing the situation, but about protecting the state and the people,” Tymoshenko emphasized.
