Popular culture usually features hand grenades, which fighters throw at the enemy. But there are many more types of grenades: over several centuries, this type of weapon has evolved from clay and metal balls filled with gunpowder to modern grenade launchers capable of hitting targets at a distance of several kilometers.
The exhibition will present different types of grenades from the weapons collection of the Museum of Local Lore – from matchlock to rocket-propelled anti-tank RPG-26. The weapons collection is rarely displayed publicly in the museum's permanent collection. Most of the time it is in storage and inaccessible to visitors.
