The regiment does not indicate in which city of the Dnepropetrovsk region the incident occurred, but emphasized that the military were not performing official tasks, were engaged in personal affairs and did not provoke the attackers.
The military noted that they did not deliberately use weapons, although the law allows them to repel an attack.
The command emphasized that any further attempts at aggression against the military could have serious consequences, and the attack aircraft will defend themselves in accordance with the norms of the current legislation of Ukraine.
“We urge citizens not to cross the border and not create situations in which a response will be inevitable. The Ukrainian military defends the state and has the right to defend itself! An attack on them will be regarded as cooperation with the enemy!” – the message says.
