Minibus with 16 passengers, overturned in Giurgiu. One victim arrived at the hospital

A road accident activated the Red Intervention Plan on Saturday morning on DN 5, in Giurgiu County, after a minibus with 16 passengers overturned outside the road, in the area of Daia, according to IPJ Giurgiu.
The authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan, mobilizing eight ambulances, an extrication vehicle and an advanced medical point. The measure was later deactivated after rescue crews completed the medical evaluation of all passengers.

Following the accident, a 55-year-old woman from Ilfov county was injured and urgently transported to the hospital for medical care. The rest of the passengers were assisted on the spot, their hospitalization not being necessary.
The Giurgiu police announced that “from the first investigations, it emerged that a 55-year-old man from Ilfov county, while driving a minibus, in which there were 16 people, on the Bucharest-Giurgiu road, outside the town of Daia, for reasons to be determined later, overturned outside the roadway”.
IPJ Giurgiu representatives also specified that the driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being negative.
Currently, investigations are being continued to establish all the circumstances in which the road event took place.
