Gorje firemen intervene, on Saturday, to extinguish a fire that broke out on the roof of a monastic cell at the Strâmba Jiu Monastery.
According to the first information, the fire would have started from the kitchen of the monastery, right on the day of the parastas of Mother Abbess Marina, according to As in Gorj.

“At this moment, we intervene to extinguish a fire that broke out on the roof of a monastic cell at the Strâmba Jiu Monastery. The fire manifests itself on an area of approximately 250 square meters. We intervene to locate and liquidate the fire with five fire extinguishing vehicles with water and foam“, stated the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Gorj.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
