On the Peace Council, an American billionaire and chairman of FIFA. What did they promise?

The first meeting of the Peace Council, initiated by Donald Trump to manage the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, was held on Thursday in Washington. Marc Rowan, president of Apollo Global Management and board member of the Peace Council, presented the Council's plan to build housing in the Gaza Strip.

“There is huge potential here, but we have to start somewhere,” Rowan told participants at Thursday's meeting. “The plan assumes 100,000 apartments for 500,000 inhabitants.”
Rowan added that over time the Council plans to build over 400,000. houses for Gaza residents. “It's not a problem of money or security. It's a problem of peace,” he added.
Marc Rowan is an American billionaire and entrepreneur, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Apollo Global Management, one of the world's largest alternative asset management firms.

Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, announced on Thursday a new partnership between the organization and the Peace Council. He announced the construction of soccer fields and arenas in the Gaza Strip as part of the Council's initiative to rebuild the region.
“We don't just have to rebuild houses, schools, hospitals and roads. We also have to rebuild and build people, emotions, hope and trust. And that's what football, my sport, is about,” Infantino said.
FIFA will allocate over USD 75 million. for “soccer-related” projects in the Gaza Strip, CNN reports.
“Thanks to these investments, a complete football ecosystem will be created, aimed at supporting the community and future generations,” the narrator added.
Infantino and Trump have had a close relationship since the US president took office for a second term. In December, Infantino presented Trump with the FIFA “Peace Prize” in Washington. The organization's most important international tournament – the FIFA World Cup – will be held in the USA later this year.

The first meeting of the Peace Council brought together representatives of 49 countries, although most of those present were there as observers.
Trump revealed that nine countries donated over $7 billion. The US pledged $10 billion to help the Gaza Strip. According to the UN, the World Bank and the EU, the costs of rebuilding Gaza may amount to as much as $70 billion.
