Today the race for safe Poland is starting; The game for our future, our children and grandchildren – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He reminded that in 2023 Poles gathered in Warsaw on the march of a million hearts and appealed to gather again on Sunday, May 25.
According to official data, PKW KO Rafał Trzaskowski obtained 31.36 percent. votes, supported by PiS Karol Nawrocki – 29.54 percent This means that Trzaskowski and Nawrocki will compete on June 1 in the second round of elections.
The prime minister, referring to the campaign before the second round of elections in the film made available on Monday on Platform X, emphasized: “Today the race for safe Poland is starting.” “Just yesterday you pointed to the candidate to which the program is closest to you. Thank you for every vote. Your decisions are an important signal for me and the whole government” – added Tusk.
As he added at the same time, this is not the end and today a new choice appears: “The great game for our future, our children and grandchildren start again.” “Today this choice is black and white,” he assessed.
“Are you in favor of the paralysis of power and chaos in Poland, or for the march forward and security? Do you want an internal war at the top, when the war is at our borders, or good work and building strength? Do you want impunity for thieves and bandits, or justice and benefit?” – the prime minister asked. “There can be only one honest answer: Rafał Trzaskowski,” said the head of government.
He reminded that Poles who wanted “in the name of safe and free Poland” participated in the march of a million hearts, which took place in early October 2023, so that their dream would come true.

Therefore, as he said, “we have to move again.” That is why “I call everyone from that march and all who love Poland. Let's meet on Sunday, May 25, at noon, Bankowy Warsaw. And a week later let's vote together for a strong, solid and safe Poland” – the prime minister appealed.
In October 2023, the “March of a million hearts”, organized by the Civic Coalition, followed the streets of Warsaw, and Donald Tusk was headed. According to Tusk, this march was to be one of the largest manifestations in recent years in Europe, where the whole opposition was to benefit. The manifestors passed through the streets of Marszałkowska, Świętokrzyska, John Paul II to the roundabout of “Radosław”.
