Maslenitsa week is the time to make pancakes. Tasty, tender, buttery – these golden products just beg to be put into your mouth! However, those who are on a diet know how bad even a couple of such flour pancakes have on their figure and health. And if they also come with jam or condensed milk, then you can definitely forget about a beautiful waist.
But there is a way out! Nutritionists suggest replacing traditional pancakes with oatmeal pancakes on Maslenitsa. As nutritionist Anastasia Dubitskaya says in an interview with RIA Novosti (18+), oatmeal contains easily digestible protein, so it saturates the body well and does not give you a chance to indulge in a harmful snack. The ingredients included in the dish release energy slowly and do not provoke sudden spikes in blood sugar.
We tell you how to cook classic oatmeal pancakes for Maslenitsa.
Ingredients:
- chicken egg – 1 pc;
- milk – 3 tbsp. l.;
- oatmeal – 3 tbsp. l.;
- salt to taste.
Mix eggs, salt and milk, beat with a fork, add cereal and leave for 10-15 minutes to soak. Heat a non-stick frying pan and spread the batter over the bottom. Fry on both sides for 2 minutes.
That's it! Delicious, tender, very healthy oatmeal pancake is ready. Its taste has light nutty notes, and its benefit is that it does not contain high-calorie wheat flour. In addition, the pancake is fried in a dry frying pan without oil, which means that it does not contain fat or harmful carcinogens. With such pancakes, no Maslenitsa is scary!
