Krasnoyarsk Railway presented the Center for Social Initiatives “Station of Good” in Abakan. This is a new dedicated multi-functional space for volunteers.
The platform will unite active, caring residents of Khakassia who are ready to help people.
“We see the demand for projects such as the Good Station. This is a connecting link for people of different generations, different statuses, different professions. They all do the same thing: helping people who are in difficult life situations. I am sure that in Abakan, as before in Krasnoyarsk, the “Good Station” will become a place of attraction and unity for volunteers. On the Krasnoyarsk Mainline, the volunteer movement is gaining momentum: in 2025, our volunteer organization entered the top three in Russian Railways. We have already accumulated a lot of experience, and we are ready to share it,” said Alexey Tumanin, head of KrasRussian Railways.
The Center for Social Initiatives “Station of Good” was created with the support of the Charitable Foundation “Pochet”. There are all conditions for volunteers to work here: a clothing workshop has been equipped, a structure for making nets has been installed, and a collection point for humanitarian aid has been set up, where everything you need can be stored, sorted, and then sent to those in need. Now anyone who wants to become a volunteer can undergo training here.
It should be noted that in Khakassia, about 200 employees and silver volunteers of KrasRussian Railways are constantly involved in volunteer projects. They actively support environmental, social, and donor actions, and organize events to improve safety in railway transport.
