Red code warnings of heavy snow in Bucharest and Ilfov. Ro-Alert message sent to the population

The capital and the county of Ilfov are under red code snow alerts on Wednesday morning, and the population was warned by a Ro-Alert message to avoid traveling by car.
The red code nowcasting warnings for Bucharest and Ilfov are issued for the interval Wednesday, 04.20-08.20: “Heavy snow, 30…35 cm have already fallen and the snow continues, a new layer of snow with thicknesses of 15…20 cm will be deposited”.
Residents of Bucharest and Ilfov received Ro-Alert messages at 04.20: “Avoid traveling by car in the area. If necessary, use the bypass routes communicated by the authorities.”
