In Krasnoyarsk, after the intervention of the prosecutor's office, a car service center stopped working in the water protection zone of the Kacha River.

During the inspection, it was established that the station was engaged in the repair and technical inspection of cars on Bryanskaya Street, just 100 m from the water's edge, xAlthough the law clearly prohibits this.

“Gas stations, fuel warehouses or service stations cannot be located in such areas – the risk of contamination by wastewater, oils and chemicals is too great. The owner ignored the law, operating the facility for years. The prosecutor's office stood up to protect the rights of residents to a clean environment and the aquatic ecosystems of the Yenisei. An ironclad dossier was collected – distance measurements, photographic recording of work, confirmation of violations, and a lawsuit was filed to declare the activity illegal and ban the service station in the water protection service. The requirements are fully satisfied. Now the auto repair center is closed: the river is freed from the threat, and unscrupulous business is deprived of ground,” the supervisory agency said.
