Ski races of a large-scale all-Russian event took place in the mining towns of Borodino, Nazarovo and Sharypovo.

This year, the country's most popular ski race was held for the 44th time and united hundreds of thousands of professionals and sports enthusiasts from different regions. SUEK-Krasnoyarsk coal miners also took to the Russian Ski Track.

The event traditionally provided an opportunity to evaluate one’s strengths at various distances and spend time outdoors with one’s family: kindergarten students, schoolchildren, employees of city institutions and city-forming enterprises, and veterans took part in the races. As the participants admit, the route this year was not easy.

“This race will be remembered for a long time,” admits Natalya Zima, an athlete with many years of experience, leading specialist in the personnel and social issues department of the Nazarovo open-pit mine. — The changeable weather turned the track into a skating rink, and at times it was quite difficult to resist. Those who finish can be considered heroes. But, the more expensive and brighter the victories!”

This year the miner finished first again.

Borodino coal miners also stood on the podium at the end of the race. For example, the spouses Sergei and Elena Tyurin took third and first places, once again becoming an example for their children. By the way, the Tyurin family is one of the regular participants in sporting events not only in Borodino, but also at regional venues.

“Now I pay more attention to the physical culture and sports complex of the GTO; our family also participates in various festivals,” says Elena Tyurina, leading engineer of the production department of the Borodino open-pit mine. “But, despite the infrequent training in skiing, the “Ski Tracks of Russia” distance went well. Do not deny yourself the pleasure of playing sports and be healthy!”

First place was also taken by diesel locomotive driver of the Borodino Loading and Transport Department (service enterprise SUEK-Krasnoyarsk) Viktor Lukyanov and veteran of the enterprise Mikhail Kalabin. And the mechanic of the Borodino open-pit mine, Ivan Maksimov, took second place.

Among the first to finish were the employees of the Berezovsky open-pit mine – the chief engineer of the auto-tractor workshop Denis Kekin, who completed the distance in Goryachegorsk, and the inspector of the pass office Natalya Berdysheva, who went out on the ski track in Sharypovo. By the way, for the Sharypovo miners this victory was not the only one last weekend: the Berezovsky open-pit mine team became the silver medalist in the ski relay among employees of Sharypovo enterprises.

Let us remind you that among the coal miners of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, a third of the total workforce is involved in physical education and sports. Every year they take part in all-Russian sports events, such as “Ski Track of Russia”, “Cross of the Nation”, GTO festivals at the regional and even all-Russian level. Based on the results of 2025, SUEK-Krasnoyarsk was recognized as the winner of the regional competition among physical education and sports clubs at the place of work located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Today, employees of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk enterprises actively participate in the year-round working sports competition at their enterprises, and are preparing for the internal corporate sports competition for workers, which will be held this spring in Borodino.
