
The author of the Ukrainian culinary YouTube channel Lilia Tsvit told how to make delicious and incredibly crispy Belgian waffles from rice flour.
The blogger noted that these waffles are great for both breakfast and snacking.
“They are easy to prepare and turn out crumbly and very tasty,” Tsvit added.
Products for eight waffles
- 150 g melted butter;
- 2 eggs;
- 100 g sugar;
- 1 pack of vanilla sugar;
- 100 ml milk;
- 200 g rice flour;
- 1 tsp. baking powder.
Preparation
- Take melted butter. It is important that the oil is not hot. Add eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix everything with a mixer until the sugar dissolves a little and you get a homogeneous mass.
- Add rice flour and baking powder to the butter mixture. Mix everything with a mixer.
- Pour in warm milk and stir again. The result is a dough similar to pancakes. Leave the dough at room temperature for 20 minutes to allow the rice flour to swell slightly. After 20 minutes the dough will become thicker and you can prepare waffles.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron on both sides so that the waffles release well from the pan.
- Pour the batter into the heated waffle iron. Cook for a few minutes until golden brown.
Nuances
While the waffles are warm, they are soft. After cooling they become more crumbly and sandy.
