In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a state veterinarian is suspected of bribery (video)

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the leading veterinarian of the regional state institution “Krasnoturansky Department of Veterinary Medicine” was convicted of receiving a large bribe for illegal actions. The crime was discovered by operatives of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to investigators, from January 2022 to January 2026, the woman received from an entrepreneur friend, engaged in slaughtering livestock and selling meat products, a bribe in the amount of more than 250 thousand rubles. For an illegal monetary reward, he was promised general patronage, as well as unhindered execution of accompanying veterinary documents for meat products without conducting an appropriate examination of slaughter products.

Based on this fact, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under paragraph “c” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receipt by an official of a bribe in the form of money for illegal actions, on a large scale).

The 40-year-old suspect was detained and given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. Currently, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all episodes of the defendant’s criminal activities. A proper legal assessment of the actions of the briber will also be given.
