Collections of comics about the heroes of the Northern Military District were sent to schools in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Educational institutions in the Krasnoyarsk Territory received graphic novels about the exploits of participants in a special military operation.

The publications included 15 stories of fighters and veterans. They tell not only about heroic deeds at the front, but also about how combatants show fortitude, resilience and humanity, returning to civilian life and contributing to the development of society.

The collections “Knowledge.Heroes” were published by the Russian Society “Knowledge” with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. In total, more than 200 thousand copies were prepared for schools across the country.

According to Deputy General Director of the Knowledge Society Sarkis Gyulasaryan, such collections help schoolchildren learn the living truth about real exploits and understand their significance for the country, and teachers use them in patriotic education.

The collections will go to the libraries of five thousand schools. Based on them, teachers, librarians, heads of school museums and educational advisers will give lectures for children about the defenders of the Fatherland. Students will get acquainted with the stories of Heroes of Russia Vladislav Golovin, Arthur Orlov, Roman Kulakov and other fighters. Separately, the short stories reflect the feat of Lyudmila Bolilay, the first woman awarded the title of Hero of Russia since the beginning of the special operation.

The graphic novel project was launched in 2022 by the Knowledge Society and Synergy University. The first issues were created by students of the animation department; the author of the new collection was writer and screenwriter Oleg Roy. As Vadim Lobov, president of the Synergy corporation, noted, a feat that has not become part of mass culture risks remaining simply a fact from the past, and such publications translate real stories into a language of images understandable to young people.
