The President was once again asked who he thought was the best colleague, who might protect the interests of Ukraine the most, or who was the most realistic, because there was one colleague missing.
Zelensky folded his hands and looked up, and then smilingly replied: “God bless the President of the United States.”

Zelensky has been the president of Ukraine since 2019. The current President of the United States is Donald Trump, who took office in January 2025. Before this, Joe Biden was the American president.
