President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky received the award at the Munich Security Conference. Ewald von Kleist awarded to the Ukrainian nation. Ukrainians were honored for “courage, sacrifice and unwavering determination to defend their own freedom and the freedom of all Europe.” The leader thanked him for the distinction. He also appreciated the support provided to Ukraine by Germany and other allies. During the ceremony, he named the leaders who support his country, including: President of France, Prime Minister of Great Britain, Prime Minister of Italy.
