

According to Zelensky, there is no greater victory for Trump than stopping the war between Ukraine and the aggressor country Russia, and that for his legacy as a peacemaker this would be “victory number one.” Especially if this could be accomplished before November of this year, when the Americans will choose their representatives for the second half of the term of the US President.

The Atlantic believes that very soon the White House's attention will be focused on the congressional elections. Until this point, there is still a possibility of concluding a peace agreement, but the clock on the negotiations is already “ticking,” the article says.
Zelensky stressed that the Russians can still use this time to end the war, as long as Trump is interested in this and as long as it is “important and valuable for him.” He also noted that the word “valuable,” although it may sound mercantile, nevertheless called for “speaking honestly.”
