Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan fined by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. The court upheld the decision


As reported by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan incorrectly marked advertising materials in 2016–2024 i misleading the recipients of her posts and reports. After the decision became final, the influencer paid the fine and published a statement in the form and content specified by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. At the same time, the Office emphasized that publishing additional comments or statements, especially those questioning the decision, may be considered as its incorrect implementation.

The President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Tomasz Chróstny, emphasized that advertising content on social media should be marked clearly, legibly and understandably so that its commercial nature is clear to every recipient. He recalled that this obligation results from the regulations in force since 2007, and the recommendations issued by the office in 2022 are only intended to facilitate their application. He added that the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection continues to monitor the influencer market and the activities of social media platforms as irregularities continue to appear.

Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan's reaction
On her Instagram profile, Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan published two entries referring to the office's decision. In the first one, she included the full text of the statement in accordance with the decision of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, in which she admitted that she had misled the recipients as to the commercial nature of the published posts and reports. In the next entry, she emphasized that she respects the law and the principles of transparency, accepts the decision and its consequences, closing this chapter with a sense of responsibility.

Other influencers fined by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection
In March 2025 The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) announced the imposition of a total of almost PLN 500,000. PLN fines for three influencers: Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan, Filip Chajzer and Dorota Rabczewska. According to the office, all of them promoted products of different brands without clearly marking the advertising content. At that time, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection noted that Rozenek-Majdan had improved its activities and started using the recommended markings even before issuing the decision.
