“The exemption from license fees applies, among others, to people who are over 60 years of age and are entitled to a pension, the monthly amount of which does not exceed 50% of the average salary,” says the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) in a press release.

According to the National Broadcasting Council, in order to benefit from the relief, you must first complete the formalities. To do this, you need to go to any post office with your ID card and a document confirming the amount of your pension. It is also necessary to submit a declaration of entitlement to exemption. The template can be downloaded from the Council's website. The exemption takes effect from the first day of the month following the submission of documents.
However, persons over 75 years of age do not have to submit the declaration.
