Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced that he is breaking off cooperation with Harvard, which is forcing globalism and other radical ideologies into the minds of soldiers. Hegseth proves that he is not suitable to be the Minister of Defense because he should understand that officers' knowledge is more important than push-ups – commented the American monthly “Atlantic”.

The author of the article, writer Tom Nichols, was also – commissioned by the US Air Force Institute of Technology – the author of a lecture program at Harvard University and the Air Force Nuclear School in New Mexico, attended by American military and Ministry of Defense employees.
Hegseth accused Harvard of turning out military graduates “with heads full of globalism and other radical ideologies,” and the Pentagon will sever all ties with the university.
It sounds as if “students were lying under the trees in Harvard's garden, receiving instruction in Marxist theory from Chinese Red Guards,” Nichols writes.
The head of the Pentagon also announced that “for too long (…) his department has sent the best and most intelligent officers to Harvard, hoping that the university will better understand and better appreciate our class of warriors.”
That's not why the military sends people to college. They don't go to Harvard to be understood, they go there to “better understand the complexity of the world they live in and develop their intellectual capabilities,” the author emphasizes.
Hegseth has again proven that he is unable to fulfill his role because he does not seem to understand that when educated officers become high-ranking commanders of the US armed forces, “what they learned at a top university or a high-ranking military college will be much more important than how many push-ups they did 20 years earlier,” he concludes.
Nichols referred to Hegseth's speech to several hundred American generals, in which he announced fitness tests and weight checks, and also announced that he did not want his “son serving alongside fat soldiers.” – We are loosening the hands of our soldiers so that they can intimidate, demoralize and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct rules of combat, said the head of the Ministry of Defense at the time. (PAP)
