Orban accuses the EU and Ukraine of “declaring war” on Hungary. “In April, at the polls, Hungarians must stop them”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán claims Brussels and Kiev have declared war on Hungary after Politico published an article highlighting plans for Ukraine's “advance” accession to the EU, before the formal steps of the standard accession process are completed.

Prime Minister Orbán described Politico as right “The official publication of the Brussels elite”, and the ideas highlighted in the right article “the latest war plan”writes Mediafax.
“This new plan is an open declaration of war against Hungary. They ignore the decision of the Hungarian people and are determined to remove the Hungarian government by any means necessary. They want the Tisza Party to come to power, because then there would be no veto, no resistance, and no possibility of staying out of their conflict.”Prime Minister Orbán wrote on Wednesday in a post published on X.
He also added: “In April, at the polls, Hungarians must stop them”, stating that “Fidesz is the only force standing between Hungary and the domination of Brussels and the only guarantee of Hungarian sovereignty”.
The article to which Viktor Orbán is reacting deals with an unprecedented idea: Ukraine's early ascent to the EU, with partial EU membership as early as 2027, but without relaxing the requirements on fundamental principles.
The document also presents “plans A, B and C” of the EU to deal with Hungary's categorical refusal to support the procedural decisions regarding the European integration of Ukraine. The main plan laid out in the material assumes that Prime Minister Orbán will lose the April elections.
Meanwhile, Tisza opposition leader Péter Magyar said Orbán's team was preparing to blackmail him by releasing intimate videos of him recorded with a hidden camera, and insisted he did not see “compromising material” in them.
In a poll published on Sunday, the opposition Tisza party led by 8 percentage points over Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's Fidesz party, and in another poll by 10 points.
