According to the official, the attack took place near the village of Konar, about 1,200 km on the border with Ukraine. Nikolaev said that there were no victims, and the damage is minor. The station is part of the Drujba pipe, which transports oil to western Europe.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has intensified drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, targeting refineries and export terminals. The goal is to reduce the income of Moscow from the oil, to increase the internal dissatisfaction and to force the Kremlin to peace negotiations.
Experts show that these attacks reduced on certain days the refinement of Russian oil by almost 20% and affected exports from key ports, approaching Russia by reducing oil production.
