The mouse will not go into the cellar: I throw 3 handfuls of this on the floor – and a strong barrier against rodents is ready

To protect your crops from mice, it is not necessary to use poisons. Such products are dangerous not only for rodents, but also for people, especially when it comes to food storage.

Mice cannot tolerate strong odors and dry alkaline environments. Therefore, one of the simplest and most proven methods is ordinary wood ash. It is available in almost every household and does not require additional costs. Experienced gardeners note the simplicity and reliability of the method.

The ash is scattered in a thin layer on the floor and along the walls – about 2-3 handfuls per square meter. Fine dust is unpleasant for rodents' paws, and the alkaline surface causes them discomfort. In such conditions, mice try not to linger and go to quieter places.

This method is suitable for prevention. The ash must be dry and clean, free of coals and debris. After wet cleaning or dampness, it is better to renew the layer. If mice have already taken up residence in the cellar, ash alone will not be enough – comprehensive protection will be needed.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the most effective. Wood ash is accessible, safe and understandable. It is easy to use and is great for gardening. Regular use of ash, as well as keeping the cellar clean and dry, significantly reduces the risk of mice.
